FEIJEN - THE NETHERLANDS

Age - 28
Based - The Hague, Holland
Nickname - The Terminator
Hobbies - Dj-ing, fitness
Cue Used - Longoni
Achievements - 2005 Belgium Open Champion. Third place 2004 US Open.
2004, 2003 & 2002 European Straight Pool Champion. 2001 World
Pool Championship Quarter-Finalist. Runner-up Tokyo 9-Ball 2001.
Currently ranked No.2 in Europe.
Feijen shot to pool fame with a sensational come-from-behind win
over Francisco Bustamante at the World Championship in 2000 and
had a great year in 2001 when he reached the last eight at the WPC,
including an excellent win over Efren Reyes.
He followed that up by coming second to Reyes at the world’s
richest 9-ball tournament in Tokyo, winning over $65,000. Despite
his skills at 9-ball, it may be pool of the straight variety that
is his strongest suit as he has dominated the discipline at the
European Championship over the past few years.
Feijen has had an up and down season so far – he won the Belgium
Open in February of this year and has recorded enough high finishes
to maintain a Top 2 ranking in Europe. The downs include a last
64 defeat at the World Pool Championship at the hands of unheralded
Vietnamese player Thanh Nam Nguyen.
Feijen is a big tournament player though as successive high finishes
at the US Open would indicate, and will be among the front runners
in Doncaster.
